If there is one thing I am going absolutely crazy for this fall season, it's the Balmain Homme Fur Parka. To be honest: I'm not a big fan of really warm winter coats, i prefer more a sleek wool coat in black. but this balmain baby just cought my attention and every since i'm love it like a fat kid loves cake! let's turn back time (in the voice of cher). Christopher Decarnin gave balmain the air that the label needed. not so long ago, the french designer did something very rare in the fashion world: he rebirth a fashion label with his vision. (like pheobe did at celine or karl at chanel), that label was back at the game just in a second.
everysince christopher left, his ex-assistent olivier rousteing took the leading role at the french brand, it got more younger and luxurious. sure, balmain was alaways a synonym for luxury fashion, but since the young french boy took it over, he added a little extravaganza to it. in my oppinion, there are only two cool guys in fashion that you want to be: either the balmain or the saint laurent paris boy. if you are in between, even better, thats the perfect mix.
but why do i love it so much? well, thats quit easy. as stupid as it sounds, i think the mixture of the styles that balmain is offering are nearly perfect. every season, they match british rock-coolness with the parisienne chic. the balance between both styles just fits perfectly. starting from the boots, the skin tight biker jeans, loose knitwear and ending with to-die-for-coats and leather jackets.
